Website handover report
To close the delivery of a website: what is handed over, and the client's agreement.
The template text in French (the one on the document) — « Procès-verbal de remise d'un site internet »
The document starts with « Je soussigné(e) [your name], born on…, residing at…, » (I, the undersigned)
Translation (to understand)
acting for [client: name of the client's organisation], acknowledge that I have received today from [@entreprise], represented by [@representant], the website published at [website address], as well as:
[x] access to the website editing tool (CMS), at [editing tool address]
[ ] access to the domain name account with [registrar]
[ ] the domain name transfer code
[ ] a full copy of the website and its content
[ ] a user guide for editing the website
I have checked the website and I accept it:
[client x] without reservation
[client ] with the following reservations: [client: possible reservations]
The provider's mistakes will be fixed free of charge until [end date of the warranty]. After that, any new request is an upgrade, carried out on a quote.
When to use it? On the day the website goes live and is handed over to the client: the list of what is handed over avoids misunderstandings later.
Good to know: only tick what is really handed over. A reservation (a missing page, a typo) must be fixed before the end of the warranty.
