To authorise someone to carry out a procedure on your behalf.

The document starts with « Je soussigné(e) [your name], born on…, residing at…, » (I, the undersigned)
donne procuration à [Prénom NOM du mandataire], né(e) le [date de naissance], demeurant [adresse], pour effectuer en mon nom la démarche suivante : [démarche], auprès de [organisme].
Cette procuration est valable jusqu'au [date].
Translation (to understand)
give power of attorney to [First name SURNAME of the representative], born on [date of birth], residing at [address], to carry out the following procedure on my behalf: [procedure], with [organisation].
This power of attorney is valid until [date].
When to use it? Collect a document, submit a file, sign an inventory, pick up an item for you.
Good to know: the person must show their ID and a copy of yours. To vote in France, use the official proxy (maprocuration.gouv.fr).
