To certify that someone lives at your home (benefits office, prefecture, bank, registration…).
The template text in French (the one on the document) — « Attestation d'hébergement »
The document starts with « Je soussigné(e) [your name], born on…, residing at…, » (I, the undersigned) … « atteste sur l'honneur que : »
j'héberge à mon domicile, à titre gratuit, [Prénom NOM de la personne hébergée], né(e) le [date de naissance] à [lieu de naissance], depuis le [date d'arrivée].
Cette attestation est établie pour servir et valoir ce que de droit.
Translation (to understand)
I am hosting at my home, free of charge, [First name SURNAME of the person hosted], born on [date of birth] in [place of birth], since [arrival date].
This statement is issued to serve whatever legal purpose it may.
When to use it? When someone lives at your home and must prove their address (CAF, prefecture, bank, school…).
Good to know: attach a copy of your ID and a proof of address in your name less than 3 months old.
